Week 5: Resume Virtues VS Eulogy Virtues

It was so great hearing all you did to work your way up the Levels of Leadership.  I think we are on a solid level 2 as we continue to build our relationship with everyone at FILA.  I hope you realize that YOU can do things to move up the levels on your own!  Please don't wait for me to assign you challenges: ).
Noah and Ethan Riggle need to complete their challenges THIS WEEK!!

In class we took a look at character traits.  We talked about there being two types - those we put on a resume and those read in a eulogy.
The resume traits are worldly and ambitious.  They allow you to build, create, and conquer the world.  The motto is SUCCESS!!
The eulogy traits honor God, creation, and possibilities.  They are developed when you hear a calling and obey.  They answer the question of why  you are here.  The motto is love, redemption and return.
Both traits are very important to developing your overall character and in your pursuit to become a great leader.

Your assignment is to present a character trait to the class that you feel is necessary for leadership.  Please turn to page 8 (Character Study) in your binder for all the details.  This is DUE MARCH 8TH!!  Please mention whether your chosen trait is a resume or resume trait.  (OR BOTH?)
** Don't forget that you each spun the wheel to choose the first letter of the character trait you will present.  Here are the results:
Spencer - P
Hannah - F
Ethan R - A
Tillie - F
Ethan D - H
Paige - M
Gabe - F
Noah - I
Taylor - L
Ethan H. - N
Benjamin - R

HOMEWORK!!  Don't forget to complete your homework lists!  We don't have class on the 15th, but that doesn't mean you have the week off!  Here is what you should be working on:

--Character Study - Due March 8

--Animal Farm --Due March 29
    --acquire book
    --read book
--complete approach paper (page 11 in binder)

--study your personality type--do you agree with the findings?

--Activity Planning with group
--make a list of all the details you need to address in your     planning
--meet with your group on March 15th during the first two     hours of babysitting

Taylor was an excellent gavel bearer on Thursday.  She was not afraid to make some noise!
Who wants to take the gavel this week?  Please respond and let me know!

Also, please respond when you read this and understand what you should be spending your time accomplishing this week; )!!

Any questions?

Thank you,
