The Results of LOVE and Vision Boarding

Wow!  You all did a great job on your homework.  Many of your actions of appreciation and love had me at a loss for words.  THANK YOU for doing that.  I hope you remember how far a small act of appreciation can go.  People appreciate being appreciated : )!

On Thursday, we revisited our upcoming activities.  They will be here sooner rather than later!  So we must stay on top of them.
This week be ready to present your plans and assign all of us tasks!  If you want to start committees, please do so.  I can imagine the Scholar Retreat having many committees.

Please come prepared to make a to-do list!  "We are all in this together!" (That line came from High School Musical)  We will all have plenty to do!

COME PREPARED TO SUPPORT YOUR FELLOW LEADERS WITH POSITIVE, HELPFUL FEEDBACK AND A WILLINGNESS TO HELP THEIR VISIONS COME TO PASS!

Also, mark you calendars for March 17th!  Party at Emma Miller's house!! (SPREAD THE WORD)

This week Merry and Noah will share a leadership quote, and Katie D. will give her presentation on a leadership trait.

Thanks, everyone!

PS - IF you haven't read Watership Down, just DO IT!!!!  Time is running out!  And Teacher Kellie

Hugs and Kisses? Ewwwwwww......

We are oh so close to completing the leader trait presentations!!  I am so proud of you and all the great ideas you brought forth.  Today we had some  impressive lessons in humility, confidence and generosity.  Great examples were given, great quotes were shared, and a lot of thought resulted.  Thank you!  Katie is going to finish these off next week when she gives her presentation!!  GO, KATIE (Dial)!!!

This week we talked about our LOVE LANGUAGES.  How do you give love?  How do you prefer to receive love?  Showing love and appreciate goes a LONG way!  If people know you appreciate and love them, they are more likely to help you, serve you or work for you.

Your homework this week is to give love to one of your classmates in their chosen mode.  I KNOW there will be no KISSING, HUGGING, HAND HOLDING, or FACE STROKING.  I can't wait to hear your reports.  GET IT DONE!  This is a REQUIRED assignment.  No one is going to be left out.

Thank you!!

Also, next week be ready to BRAINSTORM GALORE!  We will be making some awesome vision boards for our activities.  Kaleigh and Katie B., you are not off the hook:).  I have something special planned for the both of you: ).

Thank you, everyone.  I LOVE spending my Thursdays with you.  And I KNOW General Schmieder does, as well.

Have a great weekend.  And check your email for the next scholar meet up info.  Kaleigh, I'm going to put you as the contact for that.

Noah, YOU have our leadership quote next week!

Communication is key, so let's plan something we can communicate about!

I declare the Valentine Exchange a SUCCESS!! I think everyone agreed it went very well except for a few small hiccups. But there will always be hiccups no matter how well you plan and execute.
So, big round of applause to Katie B. and Kaleigh!!! I'm so glad you are on OUR team!

Also, thank you to Dean for rising to the challenge of leading the debrief. Great job!

Benjamin, thank you for that superb presentation on communication! And I'm not just saying that because I'm your mother.
We really cannot communicate ENOUGH! Just make sure we are sharing a good and righteous message. We can learn A LOT from Hitler. He used his abilities for evil. We will use our abilities for GOOD.

Next week we are in for a big treat!!
Not one, not two, but FOUR character trait presentations!! Woohoo! Trey, Dean, Merry and Katie D.

Dean will also start us out with a leadership quote.

HOMEWORK-come prepared with a scholar meet-up proposal! Convince us to vote for your idea!

Also, start brushing up on the Declaration of Independence!

Thank you! Have a great weekend!!!
